Development of an Interprofessional Course Promoting Trauma-Informed Practice and Community Resilience
Communities across the US are addressing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Nursing, public health, and social work developed an interprofessional course to educate future professionals to be trauma-informed and to support their local ACEs collaborative. Knowledge of environmental health concerns and its influence on RN-BSN nursing practice
The School of Nursing, and that of Environmental Science, jointly developed a new course entitled Global and Environmental Issues, for RN-BSN students. The goals of this research were for students to develop increased awareness of environmental health care concerns, human’s impact on the environment, and to positively impact nursing practice.

Operation-Open Your Eyes to Education: Development and implementation of a virtual ophthalmic, surgical education program
The purpose of this presentation is to discuss strategies, results, implications and conclusions of the development and implementation of an interactive, virtual educational program that increased intra-operative staff proficiency. This presentation also addresses how interactive, virtual education can motivate staff to learn more about their clinical setting.

Investigating the efficacy of prelicensure clinical interprofessional education
Nursing students participated in a pre-licensure interprofessional clinical education (IPE) experience. Attitudes of students toward working in teams, following clinical IPE were compared to students who did not participate in clinical IPE.

Using technology for applied learning of future nurse educators
One way nurse educators can present information to their students, patients and policy makers is to share educational videos. This mixed method research assessed student’s self-reported usability of a video technology, as well as documenting reflections pre and post the assignment.

Integrative reviews part 1: A method of synthesizing diverse nursing education literature
The expanding science of nursing education has revealed the need to condense and synthesize nursing education literature. An integrative review is one of several strategies used to condense and synthesize diverse sources of knowledge about problems and phenomena in clinical nursing and nursing education. During this session, integrative reviews will be distinguished from other types of reviews, and the integrative review process will be described along with tips for enhancing methodological rigor and ensuring the accuracy and usefulness of findings.

AGACNP student led interdisciplinary teams: An IPE approach to TeamSTEPPS in the simulation learning center
To meet the needs of an evolving health care system, nurse practitioners (NP) must be prepared to lead teams. Course faculty for AG-ACNP and simulation collaborated to develop an interprofessional educational intervention that allowed NP students to practice leadership and teamwork with BSN students and licensed respiratory therapists using simulation.
