Abstract

This study, rooted on the phenomenological philosophy, explored the nature of caring among Filipino nurses working with children. Seven (7) participants were gathered as co-researchers and were carefully chosen based on the following present criteria: They are willing to articulate, share, participate, and describe their lived experiences, and they are registered nurses, currently working at a pediatric hospital for at least two years. The experiences of the co-researchers were subsequently gathered and enriched via the following methods: Interview, Storytelling, Participant Observation, Art, Group Discussion, Immersion and Reflective Resonance. Subsequently, three levels of reflective analysis was done following the process developed by the researcher, grounded on the interpretive phenomenology and ethnography.
