Abstract

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) medication is used to reduce acquiring HIV. PrEP does not protect against sexually transmitted infections. A literature review was performed, and it was found that in individuals on PrEP, there is reduced condom use, increasing STIs. Education and STI testing need to be performed at each visit.
