Abstract

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality globally, requiring integrated, patient-centred models of care. The role of the Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) has evolved significantly transforming from an emerging concept into a cornerstone of modern healthcare delivery through comprehensive assessment, early intervention, and continuity of care in both acute and community-based settings.

APNs play a key role in the delivery of evidence-based patient care.
