Abstract

Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) is a leading cause of hospital acquired infection (HAI) and healthcare-associated pneumonia (HCAP), resulting in increased length of stay, morbidity, cost, and death. Oncology patients' risk for MRSA associated death is upwards of 12% and 43.2% for a 60-day and 6-month period, respectively.
