Abstract

Research has demonstrated that a consistent practice of interprofessional collaboration among interdisciplinary health care teams helps to promote a healthy work environment by fostering skillful communication, interprofessional teamwork, shared decision-making, thus contributing to a reduction in medical errors, decrease in poor patient outcome and increase in job satisfaction among nurses.
