Abstract

The value of formal mentoring in nursing noted in literature too often emphasizes goal attainment without focusing on establishing meaningful relationships. A shared value held by mentor and mentee to intentionally transform within the partnership depends on each embracing a growth mindset and vulnerability to overcome barriers to dyad development.
