Biography: Clive was born in rural Ulster, educated in Belfast and qualified in medicine (Queen’s University, Belfast) in 1983. He began psychiatry in Bradford in 1985 before gaining membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists whilst in Guy’s and Thomas’ (London) training scheme. After a research year, he was awarded a Masters in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Clive founded the Cochrane Schizophrenia Group whilst at Oxford University, and is now Chair of Mental Health Services Research in Nottingham (UK).
