Abstract
Nursing Professional development is an essential enabler for nursing professional practice and career trajectory. Empirical evidence supports nurses and health care organizations commitment to professional development is intrinsic to the high quality safe patient care.
The study aim to explore perceptions of Registered Nurses regarding professional development.
A qualitative methodology, conducted in the Cardiology Clinic of a tertiary referral hospital with Magnet re-designation, in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.
Five registered nurses with novice to expert nursing experience were purposively sampled. Two focus groups were conducted, which were audio recorded and transcribed verbatim. Academic rigor was ensured through the principles of trustworthiness. Ethical considerations included anonymity, confidentiality, and informed consent.
Data analysis followed Braun and Clarkes thematic analysis steps.
Five nurses participated,3 and 5 subthemes regarding nurses' perspectives development in this organization: personal factors (life-long learning; proactive stance); organizational factors (cultural dimension; clinical instructor); challenges (organizational transformation).

Description
This study is not a criticism of transformation of the organization it aluminated elements of NPD providing rich data. Nursing and organizations must evolve and transition equipping to meet the social determinants of changing health care needs. Intersectionality of factors shaping NPD highlighted strategies required to equip nurses to avoid emotional burnout. One tolol currently exists within this organization it has invested in its nurses by pursuing and maintaining Magnet certification.
