Nursing History and Nursing Trends

Here you will find research, educational, and evidence-based practice materials authored by nurses with extensive knowledge in the historical aspects of the nursing profession. This collection will disseminate materials of importance to all nurses.

Topics that can be found within this collection may include, but are not limited to historical background information on issues regarding the nursing profession and nursing care. These materials will address a wide range of topics critical to comprehending and broadening the understanding of nursing concerns, including the role of professional nurses throughout history and how historical decisions have affected current and future nursing standards and trends.

Prior to an item's inclusion in this collection it has been through a peer-review process conducted by experienced nursing researchers. The collection contains full-text submissions, some of which may be embargoed for a period of time to allow the author to pursue traditional publishing options.
