Abstract

Patient experiences and healthcare outcomes of Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients are influenced by how well nurses work with patients through language barriers. The purpose of this presentation is to provide evidence-based practice techniques for nurses to communicate safely and effectively with LEP patients and their families through medical interpreters.
