Abstract

The incidence of active shooter events increased 52% from 2020 to 2021 (U.S. Department of Justice, 2022). Mass shootings have occurred in multiple settings including hospitals. This presentation will highlight an interprofessional active shooter simulation to encourage healthcare students to be mentally prepared while considering the moral/ethical obligations to patients.
