Abstract

This webinar explores how intentional DNP–PhD collaboration can accelerate translational nursing science, strengthen implementation, and deliver measurable health system value. Drawing on real‑world health system experience, Dr. Perry Gee examines the role of implementation science, the business case for nursing‑led innovation, and practical strategies organizations can use to move evidence into sustained practice. Attendees will leave with actionable approaches to bridge science, practice, and ROI.

By the end of this presentation learners will:

  • Analyze the complementary roles of DNP‑ and PhD‑prepared nurses in advancing translational nursing science across research, evidence‑based practice, and implementation.
  • Identify core principles of implementation science to strengthen adoption, sustainability, and outcomes of nursing‑led research and evidence‑based initiatives.
  • Evaluate actionable strategies to operationalize DNP–PhD collaboration and demonstrate return on investment (ROI) for nursing science within health systems.
