Abstract

The purpose of this pedagogical research study was to understand the perspectives of undergraduate (baccalaureate) and postgraduate (graduate) nursing students on learning about artificial intelligence (AI). While research on nursing students’ perceptions/opinions of AI exists, we do not understand how nursing students want to be taught about this important subject and their experiences of learning about AI. Hence, this study will make a novel contribution to nursing education by addressing this knowledge gap. Therefore, the research objectives focus on exploring the perspectives of nursing students on: 1) learning about AI, 2) the AI curricula provided, and the pedagogical approach used to teach AI, and 3) its potential use in nursing practice.
