Abstract

Abstract Text: The presentation will be about how peer mentoring improves student outcomes. We are taking our experiences as peer mentors and creating this project. We want to showcase our research findings from Montana Technological University and the success we have seen. While being the peer mentors for the nursing program, we have seen an increased passing rate on ATI exams. We will be looking into the Pharmacology and the Fundamentals ATI’s that our institution takes. We will start with explaining what peer mentoring is and what we do as peer mentors. Then, we will explain our findings from our evidence-based research. We will go into detail about each article and why they are relevant to our project. After this, we will discuss the passing percentage of ATI scores on the first try and overall. We will compare the percentages between cohorts who did not have peer mentoring and those who did. We will conclude with how peer mentoring positively impacts ATI passing rates.
