Abstract
Build the psychological readiness needed to respond confidently during disasters. This webinar explores practical strategies to support nurse well-being, patient safety, and resilient healthcare teams before, during, and after high-consequence events.
Learning Outcomes:

Describe Psychological Readiness. Describe the concept of psychological readiness and explain its importance across all phases of the disaster cycle, including preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

Recognize Common Stressors. Recognize common psychological stressors and their effects on nurses, responders, patient safety, workforce resilience, and organizational readiness during disasters and other high-consequence events.

Identify Evidence-Informed Strategies. Identify evidence-informed strategies, including Psychological First Aid and organizational approaches, that promote psychological readiness and support responder well-being before, during, and after disaster response.
