Abstract
Disaster response doesn't end when the crisis is over. This webinar focuses on the recovery journey, helping nurses and disaster responders recognize common post-disaster reactions, understand when to seek professional support, and build resilience through self-reflection, peer support, and evidence-based recovery strategies. Participants will leave with practical tools to foster healing, promote post-traumatic growth, and support long-term well-being for themselves and their teams.
Learning Outcomes:
- Determine common post-disaster reactions among disaster responders and distinguish when to seek professional help.
- Understand the importance of self-reflection and journaling in processing the experience.
- Name at least three organizational and peer support systems for effective recovery from disaster exposure.
- Identify at least three effective strategies for rebuilding and post-traumatic growth among disaster responders.
